Schneider Electric has unveiled EcoStruxure Microgrid Flex, a comprehensive microgrid solution designed to accelerate project completion and enhance returns on investment.
As distributed energy resources are expected to contribute significantly to U.S. electricity generation, the demand for microgrids is on the rise. Traditionally, microgrid systems involve extensive engineering hours and intricate planning processes.
EcoStruxure Microgrid Flex by Schneider Electric expedites the development of microgrid projects, reducing the timeline from specification to design and implementation from years to months. Upon commissioning, the solution optimizes performance through a data-as-a-service model, leveraging the AI-powered AutoGrid VPP platform. It also offers seamless integration with third-party VPP networks, DERMS, or Schneider Electric's microgrid software and analytics suite.

EcoStruxure Microgrid Flex comprises Schneider Electric's Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), advanced software and analytics tools, and an Energy Control Center (ECC) for intelligent DER and control system management. The solution will be available for ordering in the United States in the second quarter of 2023.
