Hitachi Energy has announced a major expansion of its transformer manufacturing capabilities in Türkiye, responding to the accelerating global demand for sustainable energy infrastructure.
The company is constructing a new 45,000-square-meter production facility in the Organized Industrial Zone in Dilovası, aimed at increasing manufacturing capacity by 70% and expanding local employment by 30%. The location offers strategic advantages due to its proximity to a major commercial port, streamlining the transportation of heavy equipment.
This move is part of Hitachi Energy’s broader global strategy to support the energy transition by enhancing its manufacturing footprint in key regions. The new factory will serve customers across Türkiye, Europe, and Asia.
The facility is also designed to be highly sustainable. It is projected to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 95%, aligning with the company’s climate commitments. Operations will be streamlined through digitalization and modern safety standards, improving both efficiency and working conditions.
The initiative is expected to contribute to local economic development while reinforcing the reliability and flexibility of regional power systems.
