Sterling, IL – Prolec-GE Waukesha, a subsidiary of Prolec GE, announced its acquisition of full ownership of Menk USA LLC, a leading U.S. manufacturer of cooling radiators for power transformers. Having held a partial stake since 2002, Prolec GE Waukesha’s acquisition of the remaining equity from Menk-Schmehmann Group solidifies its supply chain and strengthens its strategic offerings in the North American transformer market.
The acquisition will fully integrate Menk USA into Prolec GE’s portfolio, enhancing their ability to secure critical components for power grid transformers. Ricardo Suarez, CEO of Prolec GE, highlighted the move as a significant milestone, pointing to increased innovation and new business opportunities.
